Officials & Referees Applications

The ILS Sport Commission invited applications from Officials to officiate at Rescue 2010, the Lifesaving World Championships. Scroll down to find the application form.

If you still wish to be considered, please complete this form (link) and submit it to the ILS Sport Commission. The ILS Sport Commission will submit your name to your National Federation for endorsement.

The Referees and Deputy Referees have been appointed by the Sport Commission in January, 2009. They are:

Please note that appointments cannot be made for a particular day of a Championship.

For example the Sport Commission cannot appoint an official for Day 1 only of say the National Team Pool Championships and then for day 2 only of the InterClub Ocean Championships. Officials are appointed for one or more of the following Championships - National Team Pool, National team SERC, National Team Ocean, Interclub Pool, Interclub Ocean, InterClub SERC, Masters Pool or Masters Ocean.

It should also be noted that only 75 officials are required for all pool championships (National Teams, Masters and Club) and 75 officials for the Ocean National Team Championships and 100 officials for the Ocean Club and Masters Championships.

Preference will be given to officials who will make themselves available to officiate in more than one Championships - like National Teams Pool and Masters Pool or National Teams Ocean and Masters Ocean.

Travel and accommodation expense for all officials are to be paid for either by the individual concerned or their National Lifesaving Federation that nominates the individual. No such expenses are provided for by the Organising Committee of Rescue 2010 or ILS.
