Rescue 2010 Lifesaving World Championships

The Organising Committee wishes to thank the Referees for their dedication to Rescue 2010 and commend them for willing to assist the Organising Committee in making Rescue 2010 a memorable event.

The Sports Committee appointed the following Referees to officiate at the 2010 Lifesaving World Championships. All appointments have been finalised and all Referees have been notified in what events they are officiating. If you have not received a notification, please advise Jelle Meinsma on meintsma@iafrica.com

You may recall that the original programme was changed – however due to some Master competitors having already made travel and accommodation bookings, it was decided to revert back to the original programme. The only change the Organising Committee did was to move the Surfboat and IRB competition two days earlier in order to have sufficient beach length and Referees available for these competitions. The latest programme is included in this zeb site. If now for some reason you cannot make any of the competitions or if there is a clash between competitions for you, please advise Jelle Meinsma.

WANTED: We need Commentators. As we are running a number of Championships concurrently – like National Team Ocean/ Masters Pool and InterClub Pool/IRB/Surfboat. At this stage we have too few Commentators available. So if you have some experience in commentating and are available, please contact Jelle Meintsma.

UNAVALIBILITY: If for some reason you cannot attend Rescue 2010, please advise Jelle Meintsma as soon as possible. We understand that there will be withdrawals, one cannot predict 18 months in advance what the circumstances one may be in.
