Rescue 2010 Lifesaving World Championships

The Mamoura Beach is the selected beach for the beach and ocean competitions. The Mamoura Beach is located in the very North side of the city of Alexandria. It is part of the Mamoura Beach and Holiday residential area and the access to the area is through a controlled gate. The beach is wide and deep enough with a wide pedestrian promenade along the beach giving adequate back of beach areas.

There is sufficient space for at least three water arenas and the usual beach sprint track and beach flags areas. Briefings can take place in the adjacent hotel. The Mamoura Beach Area is a protected area with access control.

The beach is immediately backed by residences, mainly holiday apartments where all officials, judges, team management, competitors and spectators can be accommodated at very reasonable rates.

The Mamoura Beach Area has also the necessary coffee shops, entertainment and supermarkets.
