Rescue 2010 Lifesaving World Championships

The Alexandria Sport Club has two 50 m pools, one 50x25 m and one 50x20m pool. The pools are set in a very nice environment with the usual club facilities such as restaurants, shopping street, parking and adequate space around the pool.

Both pools have a depth that is not in accordance with the ILS rules on one side, therefore they were selected as training pools.

Location

The Moubarak Military Swimming Pool is a full size Olympic pool with 10 lanes and a depth of 2 m all over, it has electronic timing (Omega) on both sides and adequate spectator seating (over 4,000).

It has no separate warm-up pool; however there is a diving pool (25 x 20 m) adjacent to the pool.

Location

The Mamoura Beach is the selected beach for the beach and ocean competitions. The Mamoura Beach is located in the very North side of the city of Alexandria. It is part of the Mamoura Beach and Holiday residential area and the access to the area is through a controlled gate.
